Holiday 2014

In December, there was a day that made it up to 60 degrees. We decided it was a great day to get all the leaves to one pile instead of leaving them spread out all over our yard to kill the grass. It was about five or six hours straight of raking, moving, blowing leaves. The kids helped us by jumping in the pile to smush them all down so that we could add more to our pile.

Solstice with the Anderson's:

We drew names and gave one thoughtful gift to the person we drew.

It ended up working really well. And it only took drawing six different times to get everyone the people we really wanted. :)

Maebelle got a game for Hannah - Slamwich!

Maebelle took this one for me. I LOVE this hanging plant from Hannah.

And Kyle received a griddle from Zac. I didn't get a great picture of him, though. :(

Dino lovin' boy:

Couldn't wait to get into the books she and Orion received from Mom, Brandy and Josh.

Orion could not wait to put together this plane. I think there's still a couple of other vehicles in that kit for him to work on.

Orion took this one of me while on our way to Hamlin's for Christmas. Not a bad shot.

Maebelle's Nail Salon. That girl got more nail polish for Christmas this year than any one kid needs. She sure loved all the options she could offer while doing anyone's nails that would let her. She did some pretty sparkly stuff to my nails and it was fun!

And since the nail salon was right in the middle of the floor, Orion's new Star Wars Lego set ended up in the mix. Honestly, I'm surprised that it didn't get nail polished.

Ah, good holiday times ::smile::
