Lazy Sundays

Sunday morning we woke up to beautiful, shimmery (and dripping) ice. It was warming up quickly so I headed out to get some photos.

The day turned into a great spring day. Cool, but sunny and crisp. In the late afternoon, I was getting anxious to get out of the house, so we went for a drive as a family. Something that I hadn't done in years.

When I was a kid, my dad used to take us on drives out in the country. It is one of my most cherished memories. We would drive, just to see what we could see.

Open fields and old barns were common sights on the drives we would take when I was a kid. Just as they were on my family's adventure. There is a very old barn in the photo above. Just to the left of the drive. Can you see it? (No, probably not, but if you click on it, you might be able to.)

The feeling I get when I remember those lazy Sunday drives is one I would love to pass on to my kids. What is something that you remember that you would love to pass on to the next generation?

I loved the Sunday drives as well. When I was little we had one memorable stretch that the car broke down in the same spot several weeks in a row.
