Pumpkin Patch, 2015 Edition

I had the camera set up to take sunny pictures so when Maebelle turned the camera to me driving to the pumpkin patch, they turned out to be just the profile.

I like how you can see both of them in both of the pictures.

Hard to believe she's almost 5 feet tall! She wants to be 6 feet tall and is pretty much planning on it. I don't think she'll make it, but she keeps her hopes up!

Orion loved the calf.

Punching the pumpkins in the face. Weirdo.

Halfway through the maze:

I was hoping for a cloudy day. And earlier this day it was cloudy, but the sun came out bright and shiny for the afternoon.

The warmth of the sun made for a pleasant afternoon, however it also made bright spots and harsh shadows.

They picked up lots of pumpkins before deciding on any one in particular. Maebelle did remember this small white and green one below, though. She liked it so much she came back for it before we left the field.

They sure did love the HUGE pumpkins. I don't know what the attraction is, but they wouldn't stop trying to talk me into buying one. They couldn't really carry these heavy pumpkins, so I'm not sure how we would have gotten them home. I don't even think they would have fit in the Jeep.

I like the shadow of the stem where it curls around on the one above.

And the texture on the stem.

Finally we were able to move beyond the large pumpkin section. Thank goodness. : )

Except we moved on to warty pumpkins. Ewwwwww...

I love the contrast in the green and yellowy orange below. The yellow seems to glow.

Pumpkin veins!

Next up: ZOO! It's from our trip back in August, but the kids took a lot of the pictures and it was really fun so I want to share.

See ya next time!

The Kind of House Every Kid Dreams Of

At least when I was a kid, I dreamed of a tree house this awesome!

Kim has created several pieces of awesomeness with branches like the rails on the treehouse. They are all really beautiful!

The kids loved the Oreo cookie collapsable cups. :)

Oh the sun...

The kids also loved to trace their hands as their signature on the Guest Book.

This Fort Hamlin has so much character and love in every detail, it just feels good to be inside. Makes me all nostalgic.

And the trees around it are beautiful when the evening sun shines through the leaves.
